How to Consign with Us

OUR CONSIGNMENT POLICY 

We accept Men’s, Women’s, Maternity, Plus, Petite, Children’s, Accessories, Current Books, Home Decor, New Toys and More!

The selling price will be established by our experienced staff. The consignor will receive 70% on handbags originally priced $500 or more, 55% on items originally priced $50 or more, 40% on items originally priced $10.01 to $49.99 and 30% on items originally priced $10 and under.

To encourage recycling, use the money on your account as store credit and get a store credit discount bonus of 10%. Just show us your membership card at checkout.

You are responsible to pick up items not accepted on the same day.

PAYOUT OPTIONS:

Cash – Available for balances between $1 – $50. Monday through Saturday, during regular business hours.

PayPal – Available for balances over $1. There is a $1 processing fee, deducted from the account balance. To set this up, visit one of our stores and provide your PayPal credentials. Once added to your account, call or stop by a store to request a payout. You will receive an email confirmation. 7 days a week during regular business hours. 

Check – Available for payout balances over $50. Effective September 1, 2024 there is a $2 fee for any check payout, deducted from the account balance. Stopped checks are charged $35. Monday through Saturday, during regular business hours.

Partial Payouts – Available for all forms of payment (Cash, Check, PayPal). For cash partial payment, receive between $1-$50, limited to $50 per day. Monday through Saturday, during regular business hours. 

Note: Monies not picked up after one year will be converted to store credit.

We do not accept clothing in garbage bags or that have any rips, tears, stains, are too worn or pilled, have missing parts or odors. Acceptable items must be clean, pressed  and on hangers or folded neatly in a basket or handle bag. Linens must be new in the original packaging and pillows are not accepted.

 We typically accept current styles, 2020 and newer.

 We do not accept replicas or knock-offs of designer items.

 Limit 50 items per consignor per day. You are requested to remain in the store until your items are reviewed. Any unacceptable items will be returned to you.

It is the consignors responsibility to bring in items that are acceptable. We will not waste your time sorting through items that do not meet our standards. Uptown Consignment reserves the right to dispose of unsold items that are not picked up by their expiry date.
